The “Logic & Structure” project is about the possible applications of formal language of mathematical logic in visual arts practice.
This project started in 2015 with a challenge posed by a mathematician who asked whether the strict rules of mathematical logic be of some use for an artist.
The challenge resulted in two group shows: “Logic & Structure 1” in 2015, and “Logic & Structure 2” in 2017, both hosted by The Painters Gallery in Fleischmanns, New York.
Over the last couple of years, several discussions, email exchanges, and informal workshops took place, but the answer to the original question is still to come.
The material developed over time is vast, so only some chunks of it are presented on this website.
